Pros
salary is slightly above minimum wage a mystery shopper comes in twice a month and if the overall store does well you get a very small bonus in your month's wage. 25% discount if you'd actually wear their clothes.
Cons
little or no training. very very low in staff but you're still expected to reach their high customer service standards while also keeping the floor exceptionally tidy, making sure the clothes are in size order and neatly displayed, making sure every customer gets checked in/out of the fitting room, making sure you keep an eye on the tills, acting as security as the full time security guard in this store is pathetically incompetent, making sure low lines are filled and stock is being put back out from the fitting room. management are laughably bad. if you get a job as sales support you're only going to get a day or two's work. trust me, it's not worth it. they'll have you doing all the awful jobs that nobody else wants to do and the sale starts at 5am. not worth your time. very high turnover of staff as the management are so bad, no one wants to stay. everyone is miserable. you are not appreciated at all, i understand it's retail and you're replaceable but this is just horrific. it's very clique-y. they don't care about your life, as far as they're concerned they own you and they'll put you in for any shift they want and will refuse to take you out of it even if it wasn't in your availability. they are laughably tight with holidays. the list goes on.. i wouldn't wish a job in this place on my worst enemy, it's soul destroying. take into consideration that i was one of the valued staff members, well liked by management and this is still my review. if you're thinking about applying, don't.
