HR is constantly hurling vulgarities in the office. Not well versed in employment law and abuses authority when feel challenged. Spents most time gossiping employee conducts instead of doing proper HR work to boost community and cohesion among teams. Doesn’t like the team interacting with other teams in the company. Marketing - Have no idea why the marketing is so obsessed with getting recruitment awards. Not like employees even care. Leveraging on employees time to aid their work. Forcing employees ask for reviews from candidates on google review, post articles on LinkedIn etc. Finance - Seems like the consultants and support team are all part of the AR team. Constantly threatened to chase for AR when it should be the finance team job otherwise clients will be slapped with interest and consultants will need to follow up with client. Extremely unhelpful and hostile. Frontline staff in the team is friendly. Overall culture - eye opener during covid when HR actually mentioned that the management was worried that work from home will affect productivity of the consultants and should just play dumb and continue to ask staff to work in office. Totally absurd and told staff to run out of the office for extended lunch when visited by inspection officers. Told to not return until inspection officers left the office. Used audit as a disguise in July 2019 to make staff return to office when none of the staff who returned to office had anything to do with audit. Welfare and safety was highly compromised during covid. Many a time only allowed to work from home when government made it mandatory - told that the company was not able to procure sufficient laptops so staff needed to continue working from office - LOL absolutely makes no sense when a contingency plan should have been thought of way earlier (i.e bringing desktops home as a interim measure). But management started to work from home way before lockdown and was said that the “management needed to be safe in order for the business to run”. So the frontline staff health is not a concern for the company. Lets call spade a spade that the company does not simply care about our wellbeing in a state of emergency. Still shocked how the company was even awarded “most ethical company” when internal staff know how many employment regulations are violated.
