Pros
- Remote work: Although they will pay people more (not public) to work from the office upon signing your contract. So effectively less pay for working remotely but stealthily. - Nice colleagues: The people you work with day to day (not managers or management) are generally some of the kindest and most empathetic people I have ever met. I've made friends at this job that I can't say that for other companies I've worked for.
Cons
- The "benefits" are all gone. Stock options are 1/3 of what they are outside of the US. No more unlimited paid time off. Instead the "week of rest" you have to take out of your OWN HOLIDAYS!. So effectively I get 20 days to pick for time off instead of 25 as Its soft mandatory to take a specific week off in July where it may not suit me or my family. - Out of touch management. They are obsessed and I mean OBSESSED with AI. They take out of context quotes from "customers" that are often fictitious like "Growth Gabby" to justify business direction instead of LISTENING to real human beings. - Silent layoffs for people working in UX and PEX. If you are a UX designers, run run run a million miles away from this company. This will throw you aside as soon as they want. - Helen the new CPO is honestly one of the most fake / terrible people I've had the (dis)pleasure of knowing. Katie Burke was a star and losing her was the turning point for me in this company's downfall. They are caving to the new US administration's demands.
