Pros

The compensation and benefits are the best part of the job. They also give you a high amount of responsibility and you learn very quickly. They have a good reputation for having hard working employees, which is beneficial for future job searches.

Cons

You are doing the work of several people, therefore the hours are VERY long and you must be available 24/7. I would receive 3-4 calls in the middle of the night on a weekly basis and even while on vacation. It is very difficult to have a family and work for this company and little to no advancement. Training is often cut short adding additional stress and confusion. Upper management often uses fear and loss of job as main motivators. VERY high turnover at the district manager level.

Great pay Hours were always there The manager at my location is a rare gem. Never had a boss quite like him. Everyone I worked with became like my family.

Cons

EXTREMELY physically demanding. I injured myself multiple times while I worked there.

Pros

+ industry leading wages Associates - $12/hr, Shift Mgr - $16/hr, SMT - $23/hr, Store Manager - $75,000+/yr + great work environment + excellent training + health, dental, vision, life insurance, 401k + 40-50 hr/wk with paid overtime Very fast paced so work hours fly by. I loved working at Aldi. The pay was great! Benefits great! Was training to be a store manager so a lot was expected of me but I was totally up for it. My store manager loved my work, associates loved my fairness, customers loved me.

Cons

+ work/life balance + walked 28,000 steps/day!!! Never thought I would be fired for clocking in only minutes late!!
