Management has little experience in Leadership, smart people in a technical sense, but lack the people skills and trust to empower and LEAD the smart people they represent. Upper management seems competitive and divergent, self seeking personal goals at the expense of a unified long term strategic plan. Kirk and Randy are at opposite ends of the risk tolerance spectrum. Even at the top there is not a unified communicated strategic plan.

Your experience will depend highly on your manager. Unfortunately, some managers will make it difficult to advance your career or even talk about career growth. It seems like there is a good number of people in management who seem to have gotten their role by being friends with others in upper management, not because of their qualifications. Also, people in several departments tend to cross the line or take inappropriate actions and there never seems to be any repercussions from HR. It has made several people feel alienated in their teams.

As the company became part of bioMereiux, its culture and values completely changed. After Randy Rummsen (former CEO) left, the company lost other upper management and leaders...or they get kicked out for different reasons like letting their employees go, because of being sick with COVID-19. No career opportunities, take decades for promotions.

Micromanaging. Upper management cares more about 'diversity' than competence.

As with most companies, there is some very bad direct and high-up management in some areas of the company. If you end up in the wrong department, you may very well have a particularly difficult and negative experience, like I have recently. But I previously had a wonderful experience here under wonderful direct management and upper management. There are some who are underpaid, but I think you just have to negotiate well when you sign on to work there.

Communication and interaction from the top down could be better. Get upper management more face time with all levels of employees.

There seems to be a breakdown in communication between upper management and manufacturing departments. A great deal of stress is placed on those actually producing parts, way too much mandatory overtime is called, and quality control seems to be rather ambiguous and frustrating. This is a great job for anybody other than the ones actually manufacturing goods.

It seems the need for product has blinded upper management to employee moral. When in manufacturing, or any supporting teams, they don't care about you personally. You are just a body who is dedicating lots of time and energy into propelling the company forward. Your schedule will also suck.

Mid to upper management is littered with nepotism and favoritism. They promote themselves over the wellbeing of their teams, company, and product. Some management groups work to cover up mistakes and/or blame other people and departments for their failures, lack of insight, and outright laziness. I found this to be unacceptable for an FDA-regulated medical device company and entirely unethical.
