after two years spent there, developing a complex new product, i feel that committing to project management best practices in NOT a first priority, sometimes i felt i had to supply for tasks other people should have been in charge of. maybe it's because it's a SME of 50 people only dealing with lots of product/services (not very focused portfolio)
