Pros

Inspire you to work hard on seeking a better job and a better company.

Cons

1. They had a lot of lies. They said they will provide a training and free apartment during training. They ask you to sign 30 pages document before you start your training. Please read it 20 times! you will find out your training will be charged 16,000 dollars including the dorm. And you will get deductions from your paycheck in the future. If you don't get hired after training, you still have to pay it. 2. Read their offer 20 times also! If you got employed, you only get paid when you are on the project. You don't get paid when you are in between 2 projects. 2000 billable hours probably means 2-3 years, that is the time you are on a project. 3. Poor management. 4. Poor payroll system. 5. Stay away from this company for the foreign students. They will never give you a green card. They just want your training fee. 6. They sent me threat email when I wanted to leave.

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. APOLIS is committed to fair and respectful treatment of all its colleagues. APOLIS offers a training program to select trainees who are serious about learning IT skills such as Mobile Application programming. Trainees are offered a paid training program which fees can be waived if the trainee is billable for a minimum amount of time. While Trainees are not guaranteed nor required to work for APOLIS our hope and aim is to identify resources to support our clients’ work. For context, APOLIS has trained well over 150 people and has successfully employed more than 80% of them in Mobile and Java development assignments at various client sites. Our training program is fully documented and everything is clearly explained to each trainee. The IT staffing business primarily operates on an hourly basis. APOLIS provides assistance to would-be green-card holders to obtain a green card from the US government. We make every effort to support our employees with their immigration matters. We do not threaten employees when they tender their resignation, which they are free to do. We take your review seriously and invite you to reach out to us at hr@apolisrises.com if there are details you’d like to discuss further.

Manipulate you into lying

Pros

A good start to your career if you're looking for somewhere t start after graduating.

Cons

I interviewed with them and let them know I didn't have any prior experience in iOS Development and they said that it wouldn't be an issue since they'll be training us and then trainees will interview for projects. I underwent 5 months of training and they made my resume. After I received my resume from them for validation, I saw they had included fake experiences and made me seem like a Senior iOS Developer. Mind you, I had just graduated earlier this year. I was also told to create a secondary phone number, email, and LinkedIn account showcasing all my "fake experiences." I was not okay with all of this and raised this issue with the management since we weren't told that we had to lie to get projects upon hiring. Upon raising this issue, they said I would have to lie to get projects or else I wouldn't be getting any. I tried to reason with them, but they never listened. Eventually they said that if I am not ready to lie, the would terminate me, and they did since I didn't want to start my career based on lies. The way they manipulate you before hiring is that if we leave the company for any reason, don't matter if they terminate or we leave, there will be a $12k training fee reimbursement that would have to be made from our side. When in reality, they never tell you all the things you would have to do to get projects before hiring or even during training. Extremely unprofessional management. A lot more cons I could go on about.
