I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Jan 2019
Interview
Applied online > coding challenge > phone screen > on-site: behavioral and technical back-to-back.
The coding challenge was three hours and consists of three problems; you are given two hours to complete it.
For the phone screen I had lots of questions prepared that I was asking different employees, and I had lots of reasons why I wanted to work at Wayfair ready.
On-site behavioral was an opportunity for me to ask more about the program and to show I can have a pleasant, fun conversation; they asked me one actual interview question during the 30-40 minutes and it was very upbeat and human.
Finally the on-site technical portion (minutes after behavioral) involved reviewing and explaining code I had written up the previous day. I had been given a JavaScript class and was told to make it be able to do X, Y and Z. The interviewer threw ideas or challenges my way to see how I would approach those problems and what my code was like. Mix of actual coding and pseudo-coding.
