      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      15 May 2017
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair in Apr 2017

      Interview

The process was really slow although they bragged to be otherwise Not once i received feedback without specifically having called first. I had to go through 4 interviews and every one of the interviewers was asking the exact same questions, Like how is this gonna help them? The last lady/interviewer was really rude and the only one to ask questions not asked before. The questions were irrelevant, she was unfriendly and made the whole process uncomfortable. I was supposed to work for her as her coordinator. She was asking things and answering at the same time assuming a lot of things without waiting for my response. Of course after this interview i was rejected. Still not a problem since i could not work for her. By the way as she was interviewing me her current coordinator was there too and she was frightened. She was afraid to speak which made me feel sorry for her and at the same time not wanna have anything to do with a company that said in 4 interviews 20 times that the atmosphere is really friendly. On the other hand the senior manager seamed friendly and his supervisor too. Highly not recommended. A complete waste of time So if you get accepted think twice before doing it Also expect at least 4 interviews and say at least 3-4 weeks waiting and that if you push them a little by saying that you have other offers too Suggestions: Just to the last lady/interviewer that i was supposed to be her coordinator Next time be more friendly After making questions wait for the answers without assuming Treat your colleges better even if they are at lower levels Lastly you do not have to feel threatened if someone applies for a job and then is suggested for a better position, like in my case.

      Recruiting Coordinator Interview

      20 Dec 2018
      Anonymous employee
      Boston, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Wayfair (Boston, MA) in Dec 2018

      Interview

I applied through a staffing agency. I got a phone screening interview a few days later which consisted of typical entry level interview questions like along with describing my resume and past experience with Outlook and Excel with the team manger and team lead and lasted about 35 minutes. I got an email from the temp agency a few days later saying they wanted me to come in for a face -to-face interview that week and the position was between me and 3 other people. I was given a detailed itinerary of the face-to-face interview schedule that was scheduled from 12:00pm to 3:00pm (longer than a typical entry level interview) but was informed I would be meeting with multiple people throughout the day and was going to have a brief tour of the offices. I was greeted right on time by the friendly team manager and brought into the Wayfair headquarters which is at first very overwhelming. I was then debriefed of my interview schedule and given a few minutes to get a coffee and water which I appreciated. The actual interview process was quite easy and flowed well! The questions were mostly behavioral based and were easy to answer. There was also a quick "case study" that sounded a lot harder at fist than it actually was. The interviewers were all very helpful and welcoming so I wasn't intimidated to ask questions at all. The interview ended with a quick debrief which was a relaxing way to end a long interview which I greatly enjoyed. I got a call 2 days later saying I got the position! The only advice I would give is to maybe offer a lunch break for interviews that go over 3 hours in the middle of the day-I was starving by the end of it all- but walked out feeling excited and confident that I did well!
