Entire process from initial contact was lengthy and "string along" - meaning there was high interest in the beginning, then after a 3rd phone interview someone decided that I may be better suited for another position prior to being interviewed in person. About 2 weeks afterwards I was scheduled for an in-person (without asking me if the date OK) and drove over 125 miles to one of their offices to provide a presentation to 2 people (and one who was dialing in for the Webex that could not connect..) I was given a total of one hour to present and be questioned, leaving little time for me to ask my questions - I was being ushered out quickly because the next interviewee was soon to arrive. And at this stage it was still unclear as to what position I was actually interviewing for. I was told I would hear something in 'a day or two'. After a week of complete silence, I sent an e-mail to the hiring manager asking for a status update (no response) and the recruiter (received an OOO message from her saying that she would be out for the next 2 weeks). About 2 weeks after my in-person (and several emails never responded to), I received a call from another recruiter (covering for the one on vacation) saying that I didn't get the position I initially applied for, but they wanted to pass me along to another hiring manager to speak with me. I waited another 3 or 4 days before I was contacted by him and after a brief chat he mentioned he was already in the final stages with another candidate, but would 'keep me in mind' if they have another opening.
It also took them 10 days to send me an expense reimbursement form.
A month or so after this mess, I recently get an email from yet another recruiter asking if I was interested in a position (in an area 125 miles from where I live. I explained that I live an non-commutable distance and asked if it was remote (and that I could travel as needed, but not commute every day to that area). It took him 4 days to get back to me to tell me that they preferred someone from that area....

Question 1
What is your experience with virtualized environments?
3 total for Korea. Had about 1hr interview time each. Wasn't hard questions. Most questions were based on my career. Technical questions can be quite tricky. Maybe prepare for basic network concepts
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at VMware (Singapore) in Feb 2020
Interview
Did a phone call interview. Questions mostly asked were typical interview questions, very few about the role itself. Unsure about the type of answers they were looking for as i mostly gave them a positive reply.
Was told that i was the "first candidate" being interviewed, and they had to interview many more others. Received a reply back a day later that i was rejected for the role. Unsure if my interview was either really bad or i was part of their quota of interviews, but otherwise taken with high spirits.
