I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Uber (Buenos Aires) in Sept 2019
Interview
A recruiter contacted me through LinkdIn for the Strategy and Operations Manager position in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She was very kind and professional.
1. Phone interview: it was in english, general questions about my background, set of skills and understanding of Uber metrics and operations. It was good.
2. Analytics test: it was long but not really hard, the key to the exam is LEARN PIVOT TABLES AND FILTER if you are not familiar with excel. Then, I would prepare some short emails like a special promotion or a congrats email to the drivers, that will save you a lot of time.
3. I am currently in the third stage which is a zoom interview with the hiring manager. Lets see how it goes..
If I do pass this exam, there is another case study to be presented to the actual uber team.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Uber (San Francisco, CA) in Feb 2026
Interview
There was around two weeks between every interview due to interviewer availability. It started with a phone screen, and then the hiring manager. After that, I was asked to complete a case study and present to a panel. I did not get an offer, but the experience overall was good.
First round was a hiring manager interview that was a mix of behaviourals and questions on how I would tackle certain problems
Second round was a series of 3 interviews with cross functional stakeholders each focusing on a topic (e.g. problem solving, stakeholder management/ collaboration)
Third round was a take home case study presented to the Head of Growth
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the key buckets in the delivery P&L?
Tell me about a time you had to influence your cross functional stakeholders to see things you way / adopt your proposal
The process was clear, and the recruiter was nice. Along the process, you will start seeing some senior, but very unengaging interviewers. They always seem to be obviously working on something else during the interview, and look for fixed answers even for open questions.
