Everything was done online. There was no face to face interview. My car condition was never inspected or checked. There was no training. Once the application was submitted with all the information of my driver license and car insurance and inspection, I waited for two weeks for the background check to be completed.
No interview needed and basically everything is online process. Own a 7 years or newer car and smart phone to navigate the ride. Full G is a must based on Ontario

If I own a car and have smartphone with plan service
There is no interview process. Uber lets you come on if you have a current car and registration. Easy process to go through. It takes about a day or two in order to go through.

Absolutely no interview required; only an application period where you must be approved based on background check, driving record, vehicle approval, and insurance verification. After the process, you are ready to hit the road. That was a big seller for me; the ability to begin making money very soon after applying.
