I initially applied online, and a few days later I received an email from HR about setting up a phone screening. So they called me the next day, they asked general questions about work history, why I was leaving, etc. About two days later they contacted me by phone to set up another phone interview with one of the mangers. The interview went well, there were no real technical questions, mainly problem/design questions and one brain teaser. So after that interview the next day they invited me out to San Antonio for group interviews. They gave me a choice of airport, the hotel was the Omni etc. We had dinner where we got to meet a lot of the managers and some of the people who would be interviewing us the next day.
Next day,we were picked up to head to the USAA campus, we then had breakfast and they gave a presentation on the company's structure, and we got to meet some of the third year developers. We then had to do group problems where we sat in front of a group of employees who judged us based on our team work and knowledge, exercises included Sudoku, time management, and pitching a design to a customer . Then we had the solo interviews which consists of problem/design questions, such as how would you design an app, etc.
After interviews,we ate lunch, then we had a presentation on benefits, and then we toke a tour. THE END
The reason I put the experience to negative is I put on all my documents, and specifically told all interviewers I wanted to be at the Plano location, yet when I was actually doing the tours and face to face interviews, it seemed like they were really only looking to fill positions in San Antonio, so I was a little confused why I was there. Even the interviewers asked why I was interviewing in San Antonio, and not at the Plano office. Even the phone interview with the manger was with the Plano office manger. So when I saw they were confused, I knew at that point I didn't have the job. Also I think that some of the information, like benefits, etc. could have waited until after you have the job
