I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at The Home Depot (Portage, MI) in May 2015
Interview
All of the questions were behavioral. The person interviewing me just read them off a list he had. I was taken to the employee meeting room, and we just sat down for a 1 on one interview. It was very low pressure. Before the interview we walked around the store and he described what my job would entail.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a time you had to take care of a customer complaint. What did you do to fix the issue?
It started with an automated call. Then meet with the store manager. Learned about the job. I would be assisting with stocking the shelves and other miscellaneous tasks around the store. Ultimately decided to not take the position.
The interview process was easy, at least at the distribution center. It is a lot of hard work though. Unless you need a job right away, I would not suggest it
