This was the worst interview process I had experienced for the past 20 years, since I have been in the industry. I was approached via Indeed by a recruiter and had a quick screen. A couple of weeks later they scheduled a virtual interview in Teams with the hiring Lead, R&D Facilities Operations. The day of the interview I waited online for 30min and nobody showed up. I contacted the recruiter and been asked to leave the session because they will try to reschedule. After another two weeks they rescheduled the interview, with 3 people attending; however, the hiring manager did not show the slightest interest in the process nor my candidacy, he seemed rather absent. In the end, the recruiter informed me that they are looking to schedule the final interview on site and that they are looking to onboard someone right away and inquired on whether or not I am interviewing with another company. I informed them that I already have a job offer but knowing the good reputation of Takeda, I prefer to wait and move forward with the process. The interview on site was canceled, as I was told the manager will go in vacation and it will be rescheduled in a couple of weeks upon his return. I finally heard back from the recruiter to schedule the final interview session and two hours before my arrival on site, I got a call from the recruiter telling me the manager decided to cancel once more, due to ad-hoc traveling. One month after, there was no follow up. Overall, a very stressful experience and a complete waste of time. Couldn’t help but wondering how these kinds of attitudes are tolerated and especially within such a reputable organization. There should be some standards of ethics and professionalism when representing a company like Takeda and not promoting a culture of chaos and disrespect towards prospective candidates.
