Software Engineer - Web Applications Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Roku (Los Gatos, CA) in Mar 2019

      Interview

Recently went through the hiring process at Roku for their Web Applications team. Must say this has been one of the most pleasant interview experience I have had in the tech industry. My recruiter was very nice, constantly communicated with me, and always gave me prompt updates every step of the way; she was awesome. Here are the steps I went through during my interview process: 1. Had an initial phone screen with the recruiter where we discuss my most recent projects and relevant skills for the position they had. 2. I was scheduled a phone screen with the Hiring Manager who was also a really great person. Our phone call consistent of some high level explanation of my current work and more information on what the role would entail. 3. Was invited for an on-site interview where I first had a brief chat with the recruiter (I got a free Roku too as a gift which was awesome) and I had a 1:1 interview with a Senior Engineer and the Hiring Manager. Two rounds both roughly 45 minutes each. 4. Got invited for one more on-site a couple days after my initial on-site to have one last 1:1 interview with another Senior Engineer. 5. Got and accepted an offer.
