      Director Interview

      8 Jul 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Richmond, VA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at QTS (Richmond, VA)

      Interview

I interviewed with this company on two separate occasions, and unfortunately, both experiences were extremely unprofessional. During my first interview process, I met with several individuals across multiple departments and was verbally offered a position. I was told to expect a formal offer, which never materialized. After considerable effort on my part to get clarity, I learned that the company had mistakenly posted the same position across multiple offices but only had the budget to fill one role. Despite this disappointing experience, I remained genuinely interested in the organization and decided to apply again two years later. I was transparent about my previous experience, and the new HR manager, assured me that such a situation would not occur again, going so far as to say she would "personally guarantee" it. After one interview, I was never contacted again. Despite my professional follow-ups via email and phone, I received no response or closure. I was simply ignored. If this is reflective of how the company treats prospective candidates, and thus employees, I would advise others to proceed with caution.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take candidate feedback seriously and are committed to conducting thorough and respectful hiring processes. While our roles may be posted across multiple locations, they typically represent a single opening that can be filled in any of those offices. We strive to communicate clearly and close every loop, though we recognize that human errors can occur. We appreciate your interest in QTS and wish you the best in your career journey.
