Application
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at PointClickCare (Mississauga, ON) in May 2016
Interview
A phone screen interview, followed by an interview panel of 2 on site. I was contacted a few hours before the second interview hand and advised to be ready for questions on SQL and java. The Senior QA Analyst on the panel also asked questions about Enterprise Java beans (which I do not believe they actually use - my pre-interview research indicated they use java spring). It would appear I was much less fortunate in my questioning than the other students whose reports I read on Glassdoor. Overall the questions were very difficult, and well above student level.
**"Disappointing Interview Process"**
I applied for a QA position at PointClickCare and initially had high hopes based on the company’s reputation. The process started smoothly with a 15-minute HR screening call, followed by a 1-hour interview with the hiring manager after a few days. During this round, I was asked about my resume, QA experience, and solved a LeetCode programming challenge.
I cleared this round and was scheduled for a final 3-hour interview a week later. However, on the day of the interview, it was abruptly cancelled, and I was informed that the position had been put on hold. After investing significant time and effort in the process, this outcome was both unexpected and frustrating.
While the initial rounds were well-organized and professional, the cancellation of the final interview without any prior notice or follow-up left a negative impression. I hope PointClickCare considers improving its communication and candidate experience for future processes.
the company's recruitment process is very long. I had six interviews (including with agents and phone interviews). Only then the company provide me an offer and I have accepted it.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at PointClickCare (Waterloo, ON) in Apr 2017
Interview
Right from initial contact, the recruitment team was friendly, and communicative of why the company is a great place to work. They really work to sell why someone would want to work for the company instead of stressing over the nitty gritty requirements at this stage.
The whole process consisted of 2 calls with HR/Recruiter to see if skills and interest line up, then 2 back to back in person interviews with QA Team members, a dev lead, and HR.
The first in person interview was very casual and conversation based while still discussing skills and knowledge plus some standard HR style questions.
The second stage was more focused on technical skills with some whiteboarding work related to Java + Selenium automation.
Overall, everyone was very friendly and personable, and seemed genuinely happy working at the company.
