The interview process started with a phone interview with a corporate recruiter. He went over the basics of the role and steps in the process, including a background and credit check. He gave a good "day in the life" example, which I appreciated. Next came a Microsoft Excel skills test. I am by no means an excel pro, but after looking over a couple of youtube tutorials, I found the skills test fairly easy. The first in-person interview was a set of team leads, I found the conversation very easy going and pleasant. The second in-person interview was with a supervisor and a HR representative. This interview was significantly more stressful, and came with a lot of scenario based and current company based questions. They made it very clear that they were interested in why I wanted to leave my current job, and the problems there. Overall, I would characterize the final interview as stressful, blunt, inquisitive and at the same time very professional. The final step came with a contingent offer letter. In this letter it is highly stressed that one does not quit their job before completing this background and credit check. Now, no one likes going through a background and credit check by anybody, especially a prospective employer. However, I do have to give Paycom credit for allowing me to see the final report via the third party company that performed the background and credit check. Thus, should anything come up that needs explanation, you have it all right in front of you. I received the final offer approximately 4 weeks after the first phone interview with the okay to put in my two week notice at my current job. Looking forward to beginning this new chapter with Paycom.

The process moved quickly, took just about two weeks in total. Had a couple of phone screening calls and then an in person interview. Process was smooth and the recruiter I dealt was quick to communicate and follow up with me.
