      TSR Interview

      9 Jul 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Salt Lake City, UT
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Paycom (Salt Lake City, UT) in Jul 2018

      Interview

There was a 3 part interview. 2 of them were via webcam, and the 1st one via phone. They were very quick in getting back to responding in regards to if you were moving forward or not. After getting through the 3rd interview I was offered the position less than 2 days later. I was sent the acceptance package and everything. 1 week after my letter of acceptance they came back and told me they have to rescind their offer to me due to a credit report. I had a couple credit cards that were showing I had debt on them, even though 2 of them were completely paid off and the other 2 were still being paid on. Because of this report they said they have a strict hiring process and nothing could be done unless I wanted to dispute the report (even though I sent them several documents and explanations on why they were showing up). I think they should do all the background and this stupid credit report checking BEFORE they extend an offer to someone who had then put in their 2 weeks at their job.

We appreciate the detailed account of your interview experience. Paycom recruiters make it clear that all offers are contingent upon passing a full background check and to not give notice until HR sends official word. In addition, your offer letter states that it is a “contingent offer." It is unfortunate there was confusion in the understanding of our process, but we take great care in ensuring we are consistent with our hiring practices. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please email Tiffany McGowen, director of recruiting, at tiffany.mcgowen@paycomline.com.

      Interview

After submitting for the position, I ended up getting contacted by a Paycom recruiter who set up an initial interview with another internal recruiter. From there, I interviewed with the hiring manager and lastly the Regional. Every person I met with was extremely kind and professional and kept me informed of the next steps and process. Overall, a very smooth and timely process that was enjoyable and great.

      Application

The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Paycom (New York, NY)

      Interview

I was reached out to by a recruiter on linked in for a sales rep position. Had a short 15 minute call about my experience, was scheduled for an interview for the following week. During my interview they asked about sales experience. The manager at the end said that I would be a better fit for the that role they had open. I had a phone interview the next day for that role and then an in person interview the day after. It was your basic "tell me about a time" questions. Overall it was a good experience, even though I didn't not receive an offer.
