Very strange. I interviewed with who would be my director and his boss and it went well, very professional. Then I had a panel interview with a group of about 5 people who would be my peers, same job title. I was interviewed in a room alone with them. It was the most unprofessional experience I've had interviewing. Apparently, the folks had gotten together and concluded they should hector me, because from the get go, all they did was comment aloud as they looked at my resume how I didn't have the experience they wanted and also, because I had not worked at Nords for years, could not be possibly qualified. They never asked EA questions or technical questions, it was more of my sitting there with silences as they shot out criticisms of me as they stared at my resume. While the interview with the management before the group interview was highly professional and interactive, this was more like a session for them to put applicants down with no management witnesses. Without Glassdoor, who would know? One asked, "how would you do your job coming on board with no credibility?" They were the most bitter crew I've seen, and clearly did not want to hire anyone highly qualified that would threaten their position. They were long tentured people who were re-assigned to Enterprise Architecture having worked years at Nords in other positions. None when I asked had Enterprise Architecture experience elsewhere. However, I'm not a junior person, and having had interview and work experience at some of the largest companies over my years, this was the most negative and immature group interview I've ever had.
