In the interest of full disclosure, I was never an actual employee, but did go through the interview process.
Keeping in mind, this was/is during the Coronavirus outbreak....
Nihilent had reached out to me via LinkedIn and expressed great interest in my backgrouond and wanted to interview me for a senior solutions architect role based out of Minnesota. I worked with the HR rep here in Minnesota. I went through three rounds of interviews, each one went rather well.
After the third round, they went completely silent. Nothing. I sent thank you emails to the interviewers, sent follow up email to the HR rep through email and LinkedIn.
After one week of ZERO contact, I tried calling the HR rep, and apparently her number was no longer in service.
As a professional, the inly thing I expect is professional courtesy returned in kind. If I was no longer being considered, or if the position was put on hold or suspended, fine. The very LEAST you can do is to inform the candidate of the situation. To say absolutely nothin for almost two weeks is comlpetely unacceptable.
This, to me, seems to be a MAJOR drawback when being in the U.S. but working for an Indian based company: no representation here and a completly different corporate culture.
