The interview process consisted of several steps. It began with an initial meeting with HR, followed by a questionnaire that covered basic algorithmic concepts, databases, and object-oriented programming. After that, there was another meeting with HR, and finally, a technical interview.
The technical interview was particularly frustrating — I was asked to implement outdated algorithms in a plain text editor (Notepad), with no access to an IDE, debugger, or even basic conveniences like syntax highlighting. Honestly, I was surprised they didn’t ask me to write the code by hand with a pen and paper.
Overall, the process felt unnecessarily rigid and out of touch with how real development work is done. I wouldn’t recommend applying unless you're okay with a very old-school and impractical approach to technical evaluation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked me to write a sorting algorithm and another function to list all perfect numbers up to a given number — all in Notepad. No IDE, no tools, just raw text.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nexus Electronics (Bucharest, Bucuresti) in Feb 2019
Interview
The recruiting process consists of three interviews, all technical. The first and last interviews are 1 to 1 at their office in Bucharest. The second one was on Skype with the team leader.
