My interview process with MongoDB was overall a mixed experience. On the positive side, everyone I spoke with was very friendly and responsive in the beginning. I was treated with respect and courtesy, and most of the interviewers came across as genuinely positive and supportive. A few even told me directly that they felt I would be a great asset to their team, which gave me a lot of encouragement and hope as an applicant. The process itself was long, spanning about a month and involving six interviews. As I advanced to the final stage, the last interviewer was noticeably less friendly, though still professional. He gave me constructive feedback at the end, describing it as very minor and easily workable. This, again, left me with the impression that I was strongly being considered for the role. Unfortunately, after that point, communication dropped off. Days went by without updates, and when I finally did hear back, the tone was very different from what I had experienced earlier. The same person who had been warm and supportive at the start of the process now seemed much less engaged, and the response felt rushed and less respectful than before. In the end, the sharp contrast between the initial friendliness and the later lack of follow-through left me disappointed. While I appreciate the professionalism shown in the early stages, the inconsistent communication and the false hope created along the way made the overall experience less positive than I had expected.
