I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MongoDB (Palo Alto, CA) in Mar 2022
Interview
It was a smooth-running process. The recruiters keep you in the loop 100% of the way and they even give you a lot of resources to learn more about the company. Every interview I had was very conversational and did not feel like a strict question-answer based type of interview. Overall, it was such a great learning experience.
Process includes:
- 30 minute phone call with recruiter
- 30 minute zoom interview with Workplace Coordinator manager
- Two 30 minute zoom interviews (back to back) meeting with two MongoDB employees - I like that they did it this way rather than a panel interview because it allowed me to connect with each of them more individually
- 30 minute zoom call with manager
Total of 5 interviews.

About my current experience and how I manage my profile.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at MongoDB
Interview
The interview process was the smoothest from any company I've ever experienced. There are several round of interviews with different people from the department and then typically a panel interview. Recruiters and interviewers are very flexible. They are willing to work with your schedule and any questions asked are always insightful applicable to the role. The interviewers expertly hold the conversation very well to where you feel like you are having just a casual talk while answering questions. They really know how to put someone at ease and calm nerves during an interview.

Question 1
What project did you previously work on that you are most proud of, and why. How did you set yourself up for success while working to execute the goal?
The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MongoDB (New York, NY) in May 2023
Interview
I came across the job posting on LinkedIn and applied and got a phone screening. I wish there was more to say, but that was literally it.
I had the required experience, did my research on the company and answered the “Have you heard about MongoDB?”, and then things got weird when we got to compensation.
The recruiter asked me what I was looking to make (on their job posting they failed to put their range) and I said my range and she told me what I was looking to make was a manager’s salary. I was told the range and it was obvious that this company underpays for these “people team” roles. She had asked me if I wanted to move forward, and since I needed a job, I said sure with the highest wage compensation.
Never heard back.
