I filled out an online application, and was contacted via email about a week later to schedule an interview online. My interview was 3 days later. I got there 15 minutes early and waited those exact 15 minutes to be interviewed. The interviewer was nice and the interview went well as far as I could tell. He did answer the phone 3 times during the interview but it was a cell phone and from what he responded to the caller, it was work related. He asked questions like:
What is exceptional customer service to you? Why Macy's? How would you feel about change? If you had to work at a different department everyday? Tell me what comes to mind when you hear Team?
He did emphasize that it is a commission based position,so you are required to meet set goals for a certain amount of hours you work. You do get minimum wage.
I thought the interview went well, but was told " that currently they don't have any positions" and they like to do interviews so when a position does come up, they have candidates which they can call. I rather be told straight up that I didn't get the job, than be told some generic let down.
