Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Birmingham, England) in Mar 2022
Interview
face to face interview with basic questions on availability and just research about lidl. With senior management team and found out within a week if I was successful. Asked to sign contract 2 days later and training begun within 2 weeks
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.
