I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Laguna Niguel, CA) in Aug 2012
Interview
It was a group interview done by the store manager. There was about 9 of us in the group and she went around the room asking us standard interview questions. She asked the same question to 3 people and then move on to the next question and ask another three people. After she was done she brought in another manager to ask a few more questions and then we were left in the room to await our fate. After about 10 mins she came back and offered positions to the people she liked. The interview took about an hour and 40 mins.
Relatively easy asked me to tell them about how I would handle different situations and previous retails experience. I interviewed with a manager and was asked about my availability. I got a call the same day.
