Relatively easy asked me to tell them about how I would handle different situations and previous retails experience. I interviewed with a manager and was asked about my availability. I got a call the same day.
I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Kohl's in Jan 2010
Interview
I completed my job application and was prepared to simply drop it off along with my resume during a job fair. Thankfullly I was wearing business clothes because I was informed that interviews were being held. My interview consisted of a group interview conducted by two managers. One manager took notes while the other manager asked questions to each applicant around a large conference table. Most questions merely required common-sense answers. I had no retail experience but have lived long enough to have some common sense. Some questions were posed to guage a potential employee's honesty in various scenarios. Apparantly, employee theft is as big a problem as customer theft. If you are honest, well-groomed, possess common-sense and are able to articulate the correct answers to the questions, you should not have any problem getting hired.
