      Verification Intern Interview

      16 Feb 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Intel Corporation

      Interview

The interview was very easy going and lasted about 45 minutes. The interviewer was friendly and made the conversation feel comfortable rather than stressful. They mainly asked me about functional and formal verification, especially the difference between the two. I explained that functional verification focuses on checking whether the design behaves correctly according to its intended functionality, usually using simulations and testbenches. Formal verification, on the other hand, uses mathematical methods to prove that the design satisfies certain properties without relying on simulation. Overall, the interview felt more like a discussion than an interrogation, and I was able to explain my understanding clearly.
