I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Guidewire (Foster City, CA) in Jan 2016
Interview
Recruiter called and was really friendly. Setup a 30-minute phone interview with the manager, which then led to a 4-hour onsite interview to meet with several members from the team. Each member had a different role so there were a variety of both technical and non technical questions asked.
Got a verbal offer the next day, negotiated and approved the formal offer the following week.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Guidewire in Apr 2016
Interview
I was interviewing for a position of DevOps Engineer and applied online. Process involved, one recruiter screen and 8 technical rounds. It took more than two months to come on a conclusion for not proceeding further with hiring candidate and that is after taking 8 rounds of video conferencing interviews. Whole interview process was way too slow, I had to follow-up multiple times to get an update on previous round which was frustrating.
Advice to hiring recruiter/manager: DO NOT WASTE TIME OF CANDIDATES! rather do some research on requirement and candidate.
