Interview
Went through the standard application process, but got declined at the one-on-one interview stage. Thought it went quite well afterwards but received an email the next day saying that I wouldn't be progressing any further. The annoying thing was that my interviewer hadn't even seen my CV, and said he wouldn't be making any decisions on the application he'd just fill in a feedback form, so wondering if my application was weak and my interview didn't pick it up that much.

Question 1
The questions were mainly competency questions with a few why corporate finance questions dotted around. Hardest question was what should EY do differently to further their success.
Online form and tests then invited to first round interview. Standard competency interview and a general chat towards the end. Assessment centre: group exercise - if you mention the time make sure you continue to keep a check on it, don't talk over other people, be overly nice. The observers then ask the group questions- make sure you answer a few of them. You are then asked to write a report and memo, make sure you have time to do both. You are required to do similar tests to the ones online although they are slightly harder. The partner interview is more technical but you are also asked competency questions. Nice business but HR were not very organised.
