I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (New York, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
After your online application is accepted, you will be contacted by a technical recruiter. The recruiter will schedule a screening interview by phone, and you will be required to complete a technical assessment. Next you will have a video interview with the hiring manager, then additional interviews for technical skills and company culture. Finally you will go to the headquarters in New York, NY for a trial day.
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean in Aug 2022
Interview
There was the usual recruiter screen, followed by a 45 minute hiring manager screen. There was an editing assignment. Then the panel round, which was 2 interviews with team members. And finally an overall fit interview with a VP.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at DigitalOcean (New York, NY) in Aug 2022
Interview
The editorial process was great. Everyone was very friendly and put me at ease during the process. I interviewed with more people than I expected, but every interaction was important for everyone to get a good sense of whether it was going to be a good fit for either of us. The length of time from the initial interview to acceptance, about a month, felt appropriate.
