I met a chief engineer at a hiring fair. I spoke to him and told him that I had worked with Booz many times previously and had built out software environments at their HQ in San Diego. He put me in touch with a couple of recruiters who had some possible positions that met my skillset. The interview process was great at first. They were very responsive and easy to work with. I completed an interview for a network engineering position, and I actually found out the lead was someone I had worked with on a previous contract. At the end of the interview, they said they had a position for me. Some days past and I received an invitation for a follow on interview. The description mentioned that I would talk about the work culture at Booz. I figured that it was a follow up about the hiring process or maybe a personality type fit interview. It was not. It was a separate interview entirely for a VoIP engineer position based on my experience. I completed the interview with no preparation. Later on, I reached out to the recruiter to ask for clarity if I was no longer being considered for the original position or if I was supposed to be interviewing for both. I explained the description of the meeting I was sent. She basically just said "Ok" and completely ignored my questions. I reached out to some of the other recruiters on the email chains as well. They all ignored me. I was extremely professional the whole time. I didn't blow up their inboxes and I waited an appropriate amount of time to reply for a follow up. The entire process started off really well and ended very badly and disrespectfully. I have no desire to ever apply or try to work there again. The level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable.
