I spoke with multiple folks so I could understand them and they could be sure I was a fit. It was helpful to hear from them what they were looking for.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Booz Allen Hamilton in Apr 2011
Interview
My experience with Booz Allen has been rather frustrating not because of the outcome of the interview but because of the way they conduct their hiring business. Following my application I received several mixed responses: first that they were interested, then they were not (one of those automated e-mail replies), then an invitation to a hiring event. Despite many phone calls, I had to wait until the last day to find out when and where the interview was to be held and make arrangements.
The interview itself was very laid back and I enjoyed it. I had casual conversations with 2 interviewers, based exclusively on my resume which surprisingly the hiring manager had not seen. No technical or behavioral type questions. I on the other hand learned quite a bit about the team and their projects.
At the interview we were assured several times that we’d hear either way within 5 business days – needless to say, that did not happen and I only found out their decision following an e-mail inquiry 2 weeks later.
From what I've learned, Booz Allen could potentially be an interesting place to work, but not sure how this bureaucracy translates into every day operations.
