Interview
The interview process for an Amazon Seller Development Services (SDS) or Seller Partner Support (SPS) Associate role is a structured journey designed to identify candidates who align with the company's customer-centric and data-driven culture. The entire process, from application to offer, can take several weeks.
The Interview Process
Here's a step-by-step breakdown of what you can typically expect:
1. Online Application:
The first step is to submit your application and resume through the Amazon Jobs portal. Your resume will likely be screened by an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for keywords that match the job description, so be sure to tailor it accordingly.
2. Online Assessments:
If your application is selected, you'll be invited to complete one or more online assessments. These tests are designed to evaluate your key skills and characteristics. They often include:
Work Simulation: You'll be presented with real-world scenarios you might encounter in the role and asked to choose the best course of action from multiple-choice answers.
Behavioral Assessment: This part evaluates your work style and how well you align with Amazon's 16 Leadership Principles.
General Aptitude: This may include tests on your verbal, logical, and reasoning skills.
3. Phone Screening:
Candidates who perform well on the assessments will move on to a phone or video call with a recruiter or HR representative. This is an initial screening to:
Discuss your resume and experience in more detail.
Understand your motivation for applying to the role and to Amazon.
Cover logistical details like salary expectations and your availability.
4. The Interview Loop (Virtual or On-site):
This is the final and most intensive stage, where you'll have a series of interviews with the hiring manager and other team members. These interviews are heavily based on behavioral questions designed to assess your past performance and your alignment with Amazon's Leadership Principles.
