Does Primark offer employee discounts?
Pros
Employee discount on some products. Offers opportunities for youth workers. Interview and orientation process was kind of fun.
Cons
The pay is very low. I understand retail positions aren't known for high pay. But to deal with bad attitudes from customers, co-workers, and management the pay is low. This job like a lot of retail jobs it gets boring. Co-workers stealing from others lunches, management plays favoritism, and to many responsibilities falls on you for the low pay.
Advice to Management
Please treat all employees equally as long as the employees are being fair, respectful, and responsible. Try to hire more people so the current employees don't feel like they are being over worked for the low pay. Because the employees that don't have kids and or rent to pay they are usually the ones to quit very fast. If the company can afford it try to have bonuses once in a while. I'm not saying raise everyone's pay by $20 an hour. But make low paid employees feel appropriated from time to time.
Employee discount on some products.
