- Amongst a lot of boring and meaningless work, there are some pockets of pretty interesting things to work on
- Taking time off is respected for the most part
- There is opportunity to step up if you really want to
- If you are the right cog in the wheel, you can dodge layoffs and try to fly under the radar for the steady paycheck
- WFH/Remote-friendly (so far)
- WLB is pretty decent if you put your foot down and set boundaries
Cons
- Coporate office politics is rampant
- Reorgs and layoffs are a constant
- Huge layer of fat in middle management that slows things down and refuses to be cut
- Priorities change every day
- Lack of vision, transparency, or accountability from management
- Comp is pretty average
- Company is becoming a sweat shop mentality with the new ceo
- Path to promotions / career growth is unclear
- No innovation / no bandwidth for engineers to even think about innovation
