Mission: Groupon’s purpose is to build strong communities through thriving small businesses.
Everyone loves to ask us what it's like to work at Groupon. With offices in 16 countries, sometimes it can be hard to describe, so we asked our staff. Here's what they said:
Who We Are, How We Work
We provide a global marketplace where people can buy just about anything, anywhere, anytime. We’re enabling real-time commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses, travel destinations, consumer products, and live or lively events.
Culturally, we believe that great people make great companies and that starting with the customer and working backward moves us forward. We also value self-awareness, candor, lunch and WiFi. If we match with you, please apply to join us.
Be sure to follow our People Blog!
We view culture as a composite of our mission and values. A tremendous source of pride for us, our culture is inclusive of the work we do, and how we do it. Embracing change, thinking long-term, and continuously making decisions grounded in customer worship are a few tenets we live by. Surprise is key for us too, and that manifests in numerous areas, though most noticeably in our Editorial voice. We think taking our jobs seriously while not taking ourselves too seriously can be a healthy way to grow as a company.

From developing and data analysis to marketing and design, everything begins and ends with customer's point of view.

No day is the same and it's awesome but sometimes makes you feel overwhelmed.
Advice to Management
Keep inspiring (that you always do!) individual people and the team.
I applied through college or university. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Groupon (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in November 2017.
The interview was lengthy at the same time interesting. 1st there was a brief introduction about Groupon and the job profile and getting to know each other. There was a panel of 4 for the technical interview and the questions were very practical at the same time tricky (Have to have a good hold on the subject and its application). It continued for more than an hour. Lastly, there was an aptitude round, the questions were really puzzling and I was very tired but it carried a sense of feel-good once answered correctly :D
