Mission: Groupon’s mission is to be the world’s commerce operating system, increasing consumer buying power while driving more business to merchants through price and discovery.
We're changing global commerce on a global scale
Everyone loves to ask us what it's like to work at Groupon. With offices in 16 countries, sometimes it can be hard to describe, so we asked our staff. Here's what they said:
Who We Are, How We Work
We provide a global marketplace where people can buy just about anything, anywhere, anytime. We’re enabling real-time commerce across an expanding range of categories including local businesses, travel destinations, consumer products, and live or lively events.
Culturally, we believe that great people make great companies and that starting with the customer and working backward moves us forward. We also value self-awareness, candor, lunch and WiFi. If we match with you, please apply to join us.

We view culture as a composite of our mission and values. A tremendous source of pride for us, our culture is inclusive of the work we do, and how we do it. Embracing change, thinking long-term, and continuously making decisions grounded in customer worship are a few tenets we live by. Surprise is key for us too, and that manifests in numerous areas, though most noticeably in our Editorial voice. We think taking our jobs seriously while not taking ourselves too seriously can be a healthy way to grow as a company.

Advice to Management
Communicate changes before the employers know about them through other ways
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Groupon (Dublin, Co. Dublin) in March 2015.
Interview aims to check programming (you'll have to write code in front of your interviewer), algorithms and data structures and deep understanding and explanation of past experiences.
I went through 2 recruiter screenings, 1 technical phone screening and 4 hours interview from 1 developers, 1 senior engineer and 2 managers. I received an offer shortly after that.
