Meet Susana and York, our co-chairs of the Pan-Asian Community for Employee Success (PACES) in the United States. Having representation in the U.S. has been especially important for PACES this year. It helps to address the needs of Asian American employees who are facing challenges such as xenophobia, unconscious bias, stereotypes and the rise of anti-Asian hate crimes. We asked Susana and York about what made them want to become chair leads for PACES. “Being an immigrant and a woman of Asian descent; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion are dear to my heart. I’ve experienced entering a financial career at an inherent disadvantage and feel that we need to make a place at the table for Asian representation, particularly at the senior leadership levels.” – Susana Ngan “I have been very fortunate to have mentors and sponsors throughout my career, and I understand the importance of allyship.
