Anonymous Interview Candidate in Hong Kong (Hong Kong)
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Manulife (Hong Kong (Hong Kong)) in June 2020.

Was contacted for a phone screening after applying online, basically asking about my authorization to work, ability to speak the language, etc.

Had an interview set up, but it was cancelled on the day of. Overall the recruiter was pretty polite and was responsive, but this is a pretty bad practice.

  • “Young women in science and technology need outstanding role models to motivate and inspire them to pursue their dreams. Being recognized as such a role model with the WXN Top 100 Award is a real honour and I hope it influences young women to make choices that will change their lives – and those of others – for the better.” ~ Natalie Dakers, 2018 Top 100 Award winner and President & CEO of Accel-Rx - Canada's Health Sciences Accelerator. Read Natalie's full blog post about Gender Parity: . We are proud to partner with Manulife and introduce the Manulife Science and Technology category, as part of this year’s Top 100 Awards. The Top 100 Winners are some of the most powerful women in Canada not only because of their standing or abilities, but how they inspire and champion others. They are advocates for change and empower others by their actions and accomplishments.

Awards are nice, but my eyes are on the bigger prize: gender parity. When I was recognized as a WXN Most Powerful Women Top 100 Award Winner for 2018, I was truly happy. Not because I'd have a nice, shiny award for myself, but because I know that being recognized as a leader means people will listen to what I have to say.
