Pros
The people you work with are genuinely trying their best and want to be creative people in a work place that profits off of creatives.
Cons
Where do I even begin. Working here was a literal nightmare. No sense of job security. Constantly layoffs and false promises of job security, upward company growth, and the CEO never stayed true to his word once his company started failing. Raised prices for tickets, but proceeded to cut a third of the exhibitions, leaving us the workers who barely get paid enough to live to deal with angry customers yelling at us constantly about how this was a waste of time and money. He see’s his workers as disposable, would say he doesn’t plan on doing anymore layoffs, and then proceeded to change his mind within a week. Cut our hours, and we basically had to wait for someone to quit to get our hours back, only for him to cut our hours again. But “this was very hard on him”. How about the multiple workers you negatively impacted with your bad business policies that are now jobless, especially in this economy??? No notice and no severance. I’m so glad I left before the ship finally sank.
