Driven by Ego, Not Growth

Pros

I genuinely tried to find something worth highlighting, but I can’t think of a single thing. This is the only company I’ve worked for where I’m unable to identify even one positive aspect of the experience.

Cons

My experience at this company was deeply disappointing. The culture is dominated by inflated egos and a lack of accountability at every level of leadership. Management is resistant to feedback, often deflects blame onto others, and seems more interested in maintaining control than addressing the root causes of the company’s ongoing decline. Turnover is alarmingly high, and it’s clear why. There is little to no support for employee development, and morale is consistently low due to the toxic leadership style. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this company to prospective employees seeking a healthy, growth-oriented work environment.

Pros

None. Unfortunately, there is nothing positive I can report from my time at this company.

Cons

Volare Health suffers from one of the most toxic corporate cultures I’ve encountered in my entire career. The turnover rate is staggering; corporate and regional employees were being fired, laid off, or resigning nearly every week. In my time there, I witnessed dozens of people come and go, many lasting just weeks. Some left for roles with lower pay simply to escape the dysfunction. The executive leadership, particularly the C-suite, frequently berated and yelled at staff, creating an environment of fear and instability. It was common for positions to be abruptly eliminated as a way to terminate people, only to see those same roles quietly re-posted within a month. Rather than prioritizing meaningful improvements or employee well-being, upper management focused on performative deliverables. Creating visually appealing slide decks was valued more than actual progress or results. Leadership made it clear that appearances mattered more than substance. Recruiters often quit within a week or two, and several high-level professionals gave notice without having another job lined up. That should tell you all you need to know.

Pros

Slightly higher than average pay

Cons

Volare is your typical corporate Healthcare company. They leave their nursing homes grossly understaffed, under supplied and will pressure legally sketchy documentation via pressures applied to mangers/supervisors. Higher up remote supervisors are difficult to reach when vital communication is necessary. If you are an individual with any sense of integrity you will often find yourself in situations that test your moral code. On more than one occasion I witnessed nurses saying if a state inspection were to happen, the doors would be closed immediately.
