Pros

The company is currently based out of a WeWork co-working space which has benefits such as free breakfast Mondays and free beer on tap.

Cons

The only reason I'm writing this review is so that another person like me isn't tricked into taking a position at the company only to be lied to and set up for failure. In job postings, VisitDays refers to itself as a very open and transparent organization. Unfortunately this could not be further from the truth. The CEO lies about anything and everything and this creates an extremely hostile and unstable environment. The organization is not transparent unless you are in management. It was made clear many times that those were the only opinions that mattered in the organization. More than anything, what made working here unbearable was the way in which management treats their employees. For such a small company, there was absolutely no mentorship, training, or professional development. Benefits that were promised at time of hire never came to fruition (401k, paid health insurance). Management changed goals making them impossible to reach. Then employees were belittled, talked down to, and threatened for performing below the impossible standards. Management tried pitting employees against each other, telling them outright not to speak with certain team members. I have never experienced this level of manipulation in a professional setting. The best way I can describe working at VisitDays - it was like being in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship. I would not even recommend my worst enemy to apply for a job here.

It is unfortunate that this is how your employment at VisitDays transpired. When we hire individuals, we are 100% committed to making them successful. It is in our company’s best interest that our people are productive and growing continuously. We grow with our team - it is the only thing that matters. However, your employment at VisitDays resulted in a negative experience for both you and the company and for that reason we decided to part ways. A few items that you have stated are factually incorrect, such as healthcare (which has always been provided in the company's history and 401K which was opened up in Q1 of 2018, as promised). Additionally, we never have and never will stop individuals from speaking to each other. The issue at hand was gossip, defamation, and unprofessional behavior. Gossiping about other employees is extremely unprofessional and we have no place for it here. We gave plenty of warnings to protect existing employees and the values we hold to our highest standards. We have no ill intention to any employees present or past. If we hired you we did so because we think you have incredible potential. We want you to be immensely successful in your life and we are rooting for your success.

Pros

Flat hierarchy and you are your own boss. You obviously answer to someone but, you have the freedom to make decisions (sometimes business decisions too.) and you own those decisions. It's a startup and you face a fast paced environment. They follow scrum processes and believe in move fast and break things. Respect for personal life. PTO's for personal times and no one's ever wanting more work than what's expected from you. Really flexible as far as you get the job done. They want you to grow with them.

Cons

Since it's a startup, the management is still trying to find the best workflows and processes. You may not like the place if you want a proven company to work. Again since it's a startup, hard work and self-motivation is needed. You may not like it here if you are not ready for it.

Pros

Convenient location. Mostly decent people.

Cons

In all honestly this simply wasn’t a good fit for me. I realized within two weeks of starting that the growth I was seeking wasn’t going to be achievable at VisitDays. I informed them that I felt this way and resigning. Maybe others will find a different experience but I believe to effectively sell something you must believe in it 100%. I simply couldn’t believe in the platform. It’s not that it’s bad just simply boring, unnecessary, and in exciting. Biggest gripe with this company was that I was never compensated for my time or work. Others on the team had complained about missing pay and benefits while I was there. I guess it’s good I got out when I did.
