Destined to Burnout

Pros

- Amazing and fun team to work with - Seriously the co-workers are what make the job - Variety of work - Great way to get experience with a lot of tools in the industry - Opportunities to help with projects - Pretty flexible with time off requests (while I was there at least)

Cons

- Pretty high turnover and burnout from stress - Low pay and incentives - Doesn't reward good employees unless they get buddy buddy with management - Training was non-existent when I started. Trial by Fire. - Micromanagement increased tenfold - Alot of meetings that are redundant - Office moved to middle of nowhere. Yes they want you to drive in even if your role can be done fully remote. - Every tech hates submitting timesheets on Monday (for some reason still required even after switching to an hourly timeclock) - Switched to a tiered tech system which incentivizes a "not my problem" attitude for T1 techs that overburdens the escalation team - Leadership is very bullheaded when they make decisions even if the entire tech team says 'this is a bad idea' with reasons that are never addressed and I've personally watched the company shoot itself in the foot several times - Despite the rainbow logo, it's not very diverse and leadership in particular has pretty traditional family values
