Pros

It is a good place to grow as there are many holes that need to be filled

Cons

Work loads are insane and the work culture is crazy. The CEO expects everyone to work 70h a week (that's 10 hours every day). No work/life balance here, by any means. You'll be filled with meetings and most of them will try to check your progress but instead they'll just stop you from doing your work. Micromanagement is a big part of what this meetings are about, you'll be checked every single day on your progress. "Culture is what you do and not what you say"... they'll tell amazing stories about remote work and how amazing is to work at Torre but expect completely the opposite. Everything needs approval from the CEO. Understand that at Torre you're not being hired to do what you know to do best but just to press keys to make things work/look as the CEO wants them to be. His argument is always "I have years of business experience" so don't expect any single chance of having a valuable discussion with him. He will always be "right". And last but not least, expect management to be rude and aggressive. Deadlines are hard and you'll be taken to the wall when not fulfilled. Ah! and you have to buy and read for your onboarding a book that the CEO once wrote.

Pros

- Payment is not so bad if you are in Latin America. - Getting hired is not so difficult. - Could be a good experience if this is your first job.

Cons

- The absolute truth is given and forged by the CEO, and it permeates all levels as the company is not as big, is mostly the CEO and a couple of people with lots of brainwashed minions around. So expect micromanagement even in small stuff like turning your camera on always for online calls, etc., until the CEO changes his mind. - Strangely disorganized, they have lots of documents and meetings, giving an initial sense of order and tidiness, but since there are so many and change so fast, they quickly become a chore and undermine their purpose. - Lots of meaningless meetings mostly to push some ideology of how great the CEO is or some irrelevant numbers in a forced attempt to "align" everyone. - Lots of micromanagement and blame disguised as "overcommunicating". - Unclear expectations, they say they want you to be healthy, happy and avoid overworking but that's it. How can you accomplish that? No HR, no guidance, lots of deadlines and pressure. - No HR, just a bunch of freelancers stuck together to simulate an artificial body of a company with backbone.

Pros

Great people to work with, always challenging their selfs and getting better and better. Great skills of the engineering team always willing to learn new things.

Cons

Lack of management, very hard to please the CEO/founder, if you don't do what he says you will be fired without any explanation. If you are used to just follow instructions and stop thinking, this is the place.
