76% positive business outlook
Pros
Great flexibility, great supervisors, co-workers are young, and fun, but very knowledgeable and not immature. New Employee Orientation is so helpful! The facetime with your supervisors and coworkers is priceless those first few days. They really do try to make everyone feel a part of the company even if they are never in the office. Great culture.
Cons
Clients can be pretty demanding sometimes, so it's imperative that you speak up and communicate with your Project Manager or direct Manager about any issues you're having. Benefits could be a bit better.
Pros
- Projects are fun, innovative, challenging, and collaborative. - Team is the best and brightest in a lot of areas. - Great team atmosphere - Great relationship with our partner organizations - Innovation is a key value and component of the TPG lifestyle, and innovation is celebrated and encouraged among all - Family-feel atmosphere encourages you to work hard, but is also there for you when you need them - A lot of work has been done to hone in what services TPG should offer. this has helped tremendously in terms of ensuring we are able to deliver the best quality to clients. - management does a good job of managing the individual instead of applying blanket management style - lots of opportunity to gain new skills and certifications
Cons
- benefits aren't quite competitive. while salaries are good, the rest of the package isn't quite there. family leave, high insurance deductibles, vacation policy, etc. - not a lot of room to advance - functional teams are very siloed at times - consultants are sometimes spread thin because of overselling/over promising and under staffing
Pros
a few nice people to work with. $200 stipend to work with on cell phone, internet and home office (but really this is to offset the expensive benefits they "offer". work is remote.
Cons
Pay seems fair until you realize they get you in the door at a salary for a marketing firm but its actually a consulting firm... Also its a madhouse. It is a constant fire trying to be put out. It really is a frustrating and terribly chaotic place to work. You have a ton of relatives who work at the company. Daughters of partners that would can't really argue with or do your job. The culture is pretty bad. Upper management is overly involved in all that is going on. They sit in on meetings and taker them over and yell at people who are doing it their way. At first, it seems relaxed but really it is a lot of micromanaging from upper management It is impossible to get your work done for this company. They also might have you report to more than one person which really makes the job even harder. You will have more than one person telling you to do it more than one-way... it is very annoying. The benefits are awful... unaffordable and expensive. As for training they literally have next to nothing to train you on. They will just throw you into the hot mess they have already created and expect you to be able to perform well. They will tell you little to no travel but really they will travel you to death. The PTO is pretty bad too. 10 days a year… that’s it. I would not recommend anyone to work here… There are way better options out there.
Pros
Competitive salary, remote work environment,
Cons
Over promise and under deliver to employees and clients, benefits aren't competitive, very little chance to grow internally.
Pros
100% Remote Work Supportive and transparent Culture I read the reviews on Glassdoor during the interview process and I thought to myself the cons were pretty typical so I was not deterred. Upon being hired much to my shock and delight management had taken tangible steps to address every single con on the list; I have NEVER seen that before. We are a match made in heaven!
Cons
Smaller company so you work 10 hour days to meet job/company productivity goals but management tries to be flexible when you have appointments during work day The health benefits are quite expensive but that is pretty much true for any smaller company
Pros
Lots of new scenarios to challenge me and help me grow.
Cons
Benefits aren't very competitive, could be better.
Pros
• In most cases, employees work from home which allows for flexible hours and a better work and home life balance. • TPG is full of incredibly smart individuals always willing to assist or teach you new skills. • TPG is transparent with their goals. • There is a lot of opportunity to grow professionally via certifications and on going education. • TPG is supportive of employees who wish to learn other areas of the business. Those who might want to explore other roles within different departments are given paths to do so. • The people who work at TPG are great! TPG has done an excellent job hiring the best of the best and in many cases work feels more like a family environment. You will never feel like a number working here. • TPG challenges their employees to grow making it near impossible to feel complacent in your role.
Cons
• Benefits are lacking. Leadership is well aware of this and is actively working to improve benefits.
Pros
Fully remote workplace Ample benefits, training, and career growth Supportive teammates and leadership Competitive salary Challenging and engaging client work Projects that really help clients grow their business
Cons
It can be challenging sometimes to work 100% remotely. It's important to break up your day with self-care like exercise.
