Pros

Work at home, new computer

Cons

TPG is one of those companies where their way is the only way. When working with Salesforce, there's more than one way to do things. If you've been there longer than a few years, they treat you like family. The rest, are the red headed step children. Very difficult for career advancement.

We have grown through the years because we encourage and support innovation from everyone. There are multiple ways to do things and that is also why we support over 600 technologies in addition to Salesforce. We take an agnostic, context-based approach to every client. Everyone is treated like family from day one and everyone is presented with multiple opportunities. People have been promoted within their first few months on the job, with one person being promoted on his very first day. We have some of the longest tenured employees in the industry.

Pros

Such an amazing culture. The leadership team is very transparent and committed to the development and well being of all employees. Everyone is an A-type personality and committed to performance. I have never received so much training for a job in my career. The work is all high-level and our customers are the best. I love it!

Cons

I really can't think of any.

Growing, Hustlin' Company

Pros

As a long time TPG employee, this company has a great team atmosphere. I almost forget that I only see some of my coworkers 1-2 times a year! There's a lot of encouragement, innovation, and breaking of technology (who doesn't love to do that?!). As a team, we work hard to solve fun and different problems. It's a fast-paced environment, with a lot going on at once, and no two projects or clients are the same. There's good people, willing to work together and help one another. We celebrate babies and new homes and we mourn the loss of family members and beloved pets. As an employee of TPG, the expectation is that you'll constantly help create new- processes, best practices, materials, content, and ways to do things. You're expected to serve your clients, your peers, and the company. There's a pretty good time off policy when you include all the pieces (don't just look at the PTO offering!). I really think the best part though is the people. It's like getting to work with a room full of the smartest people from the other rooms. The company does a pretty good job of providing opportunities for you to learn new/more. Overall, I’d definitely recommend working here and think that this company is heading in the right direction.

Cons

As with any growing small almost mid-size business, there are growing pains. Having a younger work force comes with its own burdens. The maternity/family leave policy is still disappointing (improved, but not great). The insurance offerings are a challenge (but this is true of most all small businesses- not something unique to TPG). Additionally, at times the work load can be heavy! But that's expected of a small, growing, consulting firm so it makes sense- and in spite of it and in times of crazy, it is good to know that management does their best to check in and provide support where they can. Only other complaint is the formal career pathing options.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thoughtful, balanced review. We do value our family-oriented culture and and will continue to invest in our people. We are nothing without them! We have implemented a formal career plan and rubric for all roles and responsibilities. This is to establish a transparent and open culture so that everyone knows what it takes to advance - it based on skill mastery and competency, not time. We still have some growing pains and will continue to listen and work hard to we can make this the best place to be. Again, thank you for your thoughts. It is a privilege to have you on our team!
