The boys, the community, and staff are the best part of the organization. The mission is inspiring, but the execution is deeply flawed. Opportunities for networking exist, but they’re often more about benefiting the organization’s publicity than true professional growth for the boys and employees. If you happen to be in the Executive Director's favor, you may have the chance to visit tech companies and network with visiting professionals during the summer.

- Plans and ideas are constantly dismissed or changed without warning, stifling creativity and undermining employee efforts. - Exploitation of employees is common, with staff overworked and undervalued until they burn out or are abruptly let go. - Leadership, especially the Executive Director, creates a toxic and manipulative work environment. Overwhelming flattery and excessive praise turns into gaslighting, micromanaging, and public humiliation. - No formal HR or checks and balances. Employees have no safe way to report mistreatment or challenge poor management practices. - The pay is unreasonably low for the level of responsibility, with no 401(k) or meaningful benefits aside from basic health insurance. - Trainings like CPR and mandated reporting are not provided despite staff working closely with youth.
