It is unfortunate what TOMS has become. It went from a young, inclusive and progressive company to one that is led by middle-aged, closed minded and out-of-touch men. In the last year all of the women at the VP and above level were either let go or quit. The environment now is unbearable, driven by men with very large egos.

1) Sales and profitability of the company as a whole is not going according to plan (regardless of what management says in all hands meetings) and is not likely to be turned around in the future 2) Most likely outcome of Bain investment is continued cost cutting (including layoffs) as the company continues efforts to pay down substantial debt burden 3) Ultimately, if the company cannot adequately grow sales, there is nothing here - no job security, no giving, no career growth or advancement
